What Does It Mean to Be HaMashiach (Christ) Like?

This blog is not intended to criticize anyone. However, I will speak my truth to the best of my ability. Yah willing.

All my life I have been around Religious individuals that speak about being HaMashiach (Christ) like. In fact, I remember when WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) was popular. It was used among many Christians as a reminder of their beliefs in moral and action-based behaviors. It was also a reminder for them to follow the ways of HaMashiach (Christ). I do think the idea and effort to be HaMashiach (Christ) like was a great idea. However, I don’t think many understand exactly what the Messiah had to endure during his time on earth.

HaMashiach (Christ) came on earth to restore Yah’s laws, because Yah’s laws were perfect. HaMashiach (Christ) came to be the fleshy example on how to live our lives. He encompassed all the fruits of the spirit and he was perfect, without sin. To be without sin, one must be obedient to the commandments of the Father. What is sin according to scriptures: 1 John 3:4 – Whosoever committed sin transgressed also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Although the Messiah’s intentions were pure in truth, sinless and righteous, he was still hated. He was hated because the truth he spoke was not accepted by many. Yah knew this would happen, because his blood had to become the sacrificial lamb for sin offerings. Meaning, the Israelites no longer had to sacrifice animals to atone for their sins.

Can you imagine how life would be if we still had to sacrifice animals as a sin offering today? I sure could not.

To be HaMashiach (Christ) like would mean to be obedient to the laws of Yah and house the fruits of the spirit in your heart to be demonstrated with your actions. I say this because that is what the Messiah did. He did not care what others thought and he did not partake in the customs and traditions of his time. He demonstrated the true definition of “endurance”.

In my eyes, to be HaMashiach (Christ) like would mean the world will not like you. In fact, to be HaMashiach (Christ) like is to be like a suffering servant who is willing to bear the abuse of the world without returning the abuse. One who is willing to absorb the hatred of the world without returning hatred. It becomes the job of these victims to absorb hatred and abuse and transform it as love and forgiveness.

I will share a few scriptures:

John 15:18

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Matthew 10:22

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake; but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

No matter what the world says, hold on to Yah’s laws and the teachings of the Messiah.

Remember: no matter what the world throws at you, Yah did not give us the spirit of fear.

Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Continue to worship the Father in spirit and truth, and endure till the end.
